eBay App Update Causes Inadvertent Draft Deletion Issues
eBay sellers say a recent update to the app experience is causing them to inadvertently delete drafts, losing precious time and effort in the listing process as there is no way to recover lost data.
There seems to have been an update very recently-- like, last 48 hours-- to the the listing/selling part of the eBay app, because I noticed the screen for selecting a picture for a draft is suddenly different. But what I ALSO noticed is different is that when I'm working (or just scrolling) on the selection screen for drafts I am suddenly accidently deleting drafts left and right!
Even the slightest deviation from scrolling perfectly straight down on the phone screen is dragging/selecting the drafts and basically making them fly off the screen at the slightest touch and being instantly deleted. No prompt about whether I want to or not. I have accidently deleted EIGHT drafts already today, and have literally never accidently deleted a draft before. Even when I'm being super careful they're just getting deleted in a flash. It seems to only take the tiniest bit of red showing on the screen and they fly off, deleted.
Luckily they have all been replaceable drafts so far, but it's a real waste of time to have to do so. But sooner or later I'm going to delete an important one I can't remake. I save old sold listings as drafts if they are an item I have more of to relist later, so once that sold listing is older than 45-90 days, I can't get that draft back, and I also have drafts with pictures that can't be replaced.
Other sellers confirmed they were experiencing the same issue and echoed the frustration of having to redo listings if they are accidentally deleted.

I work so hard on my drafts on the computer. Then, when I am scrolling through them on my phone app, I accidentally delete them because it is SO SENSITIVE! Can ebay PLEASE fix this issue?!
When you want to delete a draft on the computer, it makes you push the DELETE button twice and then asks if you are sure. Why can't the same be said for the app?
It's so irritating because sometimes it happens so fast that I don't even know what I deleted. I have to go back through all my notes, etc to figure out which one was deleted and then draft it again.

Here's what the design in the Android app experience looks like - swiping left causes the draft to be deleted and these sellers are correct that it is very sensitive with no way to back out once you've swiped far enough to reveal/activate the Delete option.
In contrast, in the desktop experience, the seller has to actively select the option to delete and then confirm the action before the draft disappears.
Multiple posts in the eBay community say this has been a problem for several months, but there seems to be a recent increase in complaints, possibly indicating this design has been pushed out to more users recently or there could be a glitch or change that has increased the sensitivity, causing the issue to become more noticeable.
