eBay Business Policy Bug Disrupts Sellers' Listing Workflows
Sellers are struggling to create eBay listings today as business policy bug disrupts workflows.
I'm creating several listings that will necessitate changing shipping policies. However, the shipping policy drop down menu is not working; required shipping policies are listen in my shipping preferences. However my ability change them isn't. I hope this is clear.
Is anyone else having trouble with shipping policies right now? My list is gone, it only shows the one that was used on the last thing listed, but I can't change it. I have tried everything I know of on my end, clearing cookies/site data, refreshing, trying a different computer, but the list just does not show up.
I'm having the same issue, we use 5 different shipping policies based on the size and weight of packages and the drop down menu is just bugged out not showing the other 4 options.
When creating a new listing, or revising a current listing on PC (Google Chrome) the drop down menu in the shipping section is not allowing us to choose between our existing shipping policies and just displaying the current shipping policy.
eBay community staff responded to the issue, first saying they have passed it onto the tech team and then returning around 3:30 PM Pacific/6:30 PM Eastern to update sellers on the progress, saying the issue should be resolved by the end of the day (likely meaning Pacific time).
Frequent community poster WastingTime101 offered some possible workarounds for sellers to use in the meantime.
In the meantime, methods I'm using in case this helps other sellers until the problem is fixed:
For active listings, revise through bulk edit since that's working.
For new listings, sell similar from my existing listings that already have the shipping/returns/payment policies I want to use.
If I didn't already have listings set up with the policies I wanted to use, I'd create drafts and save for tomorrow then make edits before publishing.
If I felt I needed to get listings up today, I'd go ahead and list, then immediately revise with the bulk editor. Takes listings a few min to index anyway, so there's not too much risk with this method.
