eBay sellers report problems with adding tracking and shipping label settings switching to print 2 per page as shipping glitches continue to plague the platform.

Currently, sellers say they are unable to add and save tracking details for labels printed outside of eBay.

Anyone else having issues entering Tracking Information? I can enter the number but the carrier and “save and continue” refuse to take information.

Can’t add tracking number!
Combined items, purchased one label , tried to add tracking number the various items -- eBay allows the tracking number and carrier to be added but the “save” is greyed out. Anyone else?

...Here is a screenshot: Notice the save area is greyed out. Had customer service call me -- of course, they know nothing about it and can't help. When I asked if he would make a ticket for this and forward it to technical issues , the call was disconnected. Ugh!

Some sellers on Reddit report they are able to enter tracking using the app as a temporary workaround.

eBay tracking number form broken
by u/dotnetdemonsc in eBaySellerAdvice

ust a heads up that eBay’s tracking number field is broken. Again. As of 1:58 EST (-5:00 GMT).

Specifically, it's this modal window here (see below). According to the console, there's a JavaScript error because of some request it's making is getting rejected due to a security issue on another domain that the form is utilizing. You can enter a tracking number, but you can't select a carrier, and the "Save and continue" button never becomes enabled because no carrier is selected.

The app works for me as a buyer and seller to check USPS tracking. 3rd party adding tracking numbers to shipped orders worked as of a few minutes ago.

eBay community staff have acknowledged the issue with inputting tracking and provided a ticket to reference when contacting support

There is a sitewide ticket open for sellers being unable to add tracking numbers and we are working on having that Tech Board updated. This is being worked on to be resolved and we do encourage sellers to reach out to customer support and have their account added to the ticket ALERT15135.

The more examples our Tech team has, the sooner they will be able to have this resolved.

Sellers have also been reporting for the last few days that their shipping label settings are defaulting to printing 2 labels per page, which is causing issues with the sizing for their label printers.

one page labels for bulk printing
recently, I noticed my labels are generated with two labels on a page. My printer is only one page. I don’t know how this changed back to generating two labels per page, but I do not see how to change it back. Anybody else having this issue or know how to fix this??

This is happening in both Chrome and Edge, and I have not changed any settings. I have not been able to fix the issue and so then need to go into the label reprint page in order to print them one at a time. It's time consuming and annoying...please fix!

A helpful longtime community member has provided instructions for sellers to change the setting back to 1 label per page when printing bulk labels.

This happens sometimes - something on eBay's end changes a seller's preset label size on bulk. One seller said it happens when they switch between using PayPal and eBay funds to pay for labels. Here's a screenshot of how to change it back if you're using bulk labels:

We've seen several other shipping anomalies reported this week as well, including extended shipping and delivery timeframes due to eBay changing working days and cutoff times without sellers' knowledge.

And eBay still has not provided any insight into what is going on with fluctuations in USPS shipping rates sellers have been experiencing since Friday.

I left Bonanza after the shipping fee was introduced. By that point, sales on the site, which were (for me) never many, had shriveled to almost nothing (again, for me). I would love to see a P&L statement for Bonanza.

Bonanza (or bMarketplace, or whatever they want to call themselves this week) is FINISHED.

They just "killed the golden goose". I imported my 1500+ eBay items to there since it was free. Turned out just to be a lot of work for (maybe) 3 sales a month.

The total fees were higher there before this new $20 a month cost structure, even though they claimed otherwise. When one factors in the 3.49% + 49 cent PayPal processing fees so one can get paid, there went a good chunk of profit.

Now they have boosted their commission to 11%, and still claim that the cost to sell there is less than eBay's. And remember that this does not include payment processing. WHY?? Makes no sense at all.

On eBay, for $27.95 a month, I sell over 100 items there every 30-31 days. Makes ZERO SENSE to pay a site $20 to make just a couple of sales. Since they now allow 50 "free listings", I have trimmed my offerings back to just below that amount. Also had to raise all my prices accordingly to absorb the extra selling costs.

The people who run the show here obviously didn't realize that eBay sellers who imported their listings gave the site a great depth of product, which would attract more buyers. Now that will be gone, because NO ONE will pay them $20 monthly for little to no sales.

The site also has technical issues that they refuse to fix. It was a decent resource to enable the occasional sale, but they will soon be stacked onto the eCommerce trash heap of companies that THOUGHT they could compete with Amazon and eBay. Etsy may also suffer the same fate soon, as many sellers are also leaving their site due to high fees, website issues, and poor management.

Basic eComm rule here: When you do not carry any inventory, and sellers are solely responsible for supplying your site with the goods offered, DON'T BITE THE HAND WHICH FEEDS YOU!!!
