eBay Feedback Redesign Throws Sellers For A Loop
eBay has changed the design and flow for leaving feedback, leaving sellers wondering why fix something that wasn't broken?
This new Feedback flow started last night and it is not acceptable. The old format had ALL of my pre-typed Feedback available. The first time I saw this and clicked the Positive button I got a canned eBay Feedback in the window that I was NOT able to change and what it said was not what I ever would have typed, unacceptable. This pic just shows a blank page, I closed it before doing anything. This ONE FB takes up my entire screen.
To optimize time I leave FB for Buyers while the label is printing. Now I can't do that. What I have to is more work and more steps ... I have to go to my FB history and scroll to the bottom of the page then click the Leave Feedback (Green arrow next pic) link then work on my Feedback task.
Below is the page that comes up and this older format does NOT waste my screen space and HAS all of my pre-typed FB in it.
Wow, I can see three things on this page. Please advise how I can get back to the old FB flow???
eBay community staff said the new changes were made to "enhance the feedback blow" but sellers don't seem to think it's much of an enhancement.
But the old feedback system wasn't broken -- it was perfect as it was.
Your statement that "These are new changes to enhance the feedback flow" is just MBA Orwellian double-speak -- please don't try to con us.
We do not feel "enhanced" by this change.
There are so many other SERIOUS problems on the eBay site that are in desperate need of change -- and the feedback page wasn't on that list.
Not even close.
The issue where users are reporting that the pre-filled comment cannot be deleted or overwritten is concerning buyers as well as sellers. This buy was so put off by the new experience, they questioned whether a virus had taken over the site.
When I went to comment on transaction today I click on positive the comment gets automatically filled in with comment I've never made for any transaction EVER, and untrue besides. The comment cannot be changed, backspaced etc.
To me this looks like some sort of virus has sequestered itself into the software.
I am extremely hesitant to use ebay for any further purchases until the software problem is cleared.
Antivirus software (AVG) finds nothing unusual. I also find it is on both of my computers that I use for purchases.
Anybody know anything about what is up?
UK sellers are also struggling with the new feedback experience.
In the past couple of days, I'm not able to leave feedback for any of the items I have recently purchased. When i go to do so, it pre-fills the form with an unrelated message and doesn't allow me to actively fill it in myself or send my feedback. Anyone else had this issue?
Yesterday, me and other sellers, found that leaving feedback for our buyers has changed. Our stored feedback comments have vanished. The comments box shows a ghosted message, which is clearly written from a buyer about a seller. Yesterday, after posting feeding, it replied as if I'd left buyer feedback, and worst of all, it encourage me, as a buyer to click 'here' if there was a problem with the item I'd bought.
It went back to normal last night, but this morning the blip is back again.
eBay, if this is a blip, please sort it ASAP for us. If it's a change, then please, please, please, change it back.
Community staff said they are collecting seller feedback and reporting it to the tech team.
