eBay Image Size Resolution Glitch 4-20-23
UPDATE 4-26-23
Sellers are reporting the image resolution issue appears to be resolved this morning.
I just checked now and it looks like listings have been repaired. Only one sale since Saturday..

I'm pleased to report that this issue has actually been resolved as of 4/26.

The listing image glitch is still not resolved but eBay has at least finally added it to the list of ongoing technical issues.
Image 1 will be displayed smaller than all others (April 21st, 2023)

eBay users are reporting a glitch impacting the first image on listings, causing them to be too small, blurry and/or not able to zoom in.
The first image of any listing (not just mine) is appearing very blurred. The error in the console says that width is undefined. Please fix it as i have a majority of auctions ending this weekend and it throws buyers off when they can't see a clear first photo, especially since the condition matters a lot for what i am selling.
Seller here. My main listing photo is the proper size. Enlarges when you hover over it. When you click on it, is shrinks to 1/5th its size. What is going On? If I move any other pictures to the main photo, they also shrink when clicked on.
Since yesterday morning the "click to enlarge" button in not working well. The enlarged images became smaller than they used to be. When you want to enlarge the item image to see its details the button simply does not work. Thanks in advance for any information or support.
Hi all - noticed in the last week or so when listing that the first photo in each of my listing is uploading at significantly lower quality than all of the rest of the listing photos. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or know of a potential fix? It's so strange. All of the other photos upload great quality except for the cover shot. Thanks!

The issue is also impacting listings on eBay UK, so it appears to be possibly global/site wide at this point.
There is a glitch that has been happening a couple of days on Desktop no matter what browser you use the first picture on any listing is a lot smaller then the other pictures , Its happening on every single listing i look at first landing picture is virtually the size of a thumbnail - click on any other picture on that listing they are the correct size
I know there are a fair few sellers that still only upload one picture so could be potentially missing out on customers if their auction picture is small
I have notice from today 20 April 2023, that when browsing for a purchase, when you click on the item to enlarge the image, it has sopped working for the first image, however, any further images are enlarged and readable. I looked at this is problem in three different web browsers, and the same difficulty is still happening. Certainly it's putting me off looking currently on eBay. Is this a it glitch? suggest ebay tke a look to see what's happening.
eBay community staff have responded acknowledging the issue, but say there is not a technical ticket open in their system at this time so the only thing they can recommend is to contact support.
Thanks to all of you for pointing this out. I had just been hovering over the pictures, not clicking on them. I am now able to reproduce the issue on my end as well.
I'd encourage all of you to contact our customer service if you haven't already, and keep those reports coming in. I would anticipate the tech team creating a proper alert for the issue if the reports keep up.
