eBay sellers report a technical issue causing the item specifics module not to be displayed in the mobile listing experience or to disappear in mid-edit on the web experience.

Anyone else having Listing Error Issues?
Is anyone else having “listing” error right now? When my Wife and I are in the middle of listing items all of a sudden “Item Specifics” disappears.......then you can’t do anything else. After many different attempts and closing out our ebay app we go back to it and everything is still the same.

Yes, this was happening to me yesterday. I saved the draft then went back in to draft and the data was there.

Is there an open ticket on this yet devon@ebay ? A sitewide alert we can reference when contacting CS?

Side note: for months I've been having an issue with variation listings. Say I set up a color variation, then I exit variations page and go back to the main listing page. The item specific for color will keep disappearing then reappearing, so the entire IS part of the form shifts up and down with every single IS I fill out. I have to wait for it to reappear/disappear before filling out every single IS. Adds 10 min to the listing process.

Items Specifics not Appearing
Hello i am having issues completing a listing on sport cards as it’s asking to add the condition of the card but the item specifics are not appearing when using the app to add a listing. This has been going on since last night

Ya I’m having the same problem right now with sports cards.

Same issue. E-bay app on my android phone. No "Item Specifics" or "Conditions" available. This goes for new and existing listings. Works fine from a web browser.

Most of the reports of this issue being experience on the app call out the Single Trading Cards category specifically.

However, users who experienced a similar problem on desktop said it was affecting all categories they had attempted to list in, so it may be a more widespread issue.

eBay community staff have acknowledged the issue and provided a ticket number to reference when contacting support, covering both the app and desktop experience issues with the Item Specifics module disappearing or not being available in the listing flow.

It looks like we just opened a sitewide ticket on this issue with item specifics not showing. The ticket is ALERT15145 and if there are any sellers experiencing this we do encourage them to reach out to customer support and have their account added to the ticket to be used as an example.

It is Slowwwwwww and is more expensive to the buyer. In the past items I have ordered will sit at the hub for around 2 weeks. I avoid ebay unless I cannot get it elsewhere.

Hi, I have a friend who had an interesting experience recently that fell under this issue. They sold an item, packed and dispatched to the UK Ebay hub, this was midway through the period as the pause occurred. They then received a message from the buyer that they had checked tracking and discovered that the item had disappeared on ebay, no advice. It then turned out that the tracking had been fudged and the package was with them but not forwarded on to the USA. A few hours of to and fro to get the answer that it was due to the tariff dilemma. NO fault of the buyer(who had paid) or the seller ((who had been paid) and a strange response that the item could not be delivered. The buyer would be refunded in full, the seller would keep payment and the item would not be returned. Strange, Ebay must be hurting paying our both sides of the deal+

  1. Start building out the brand and promoting the heck out of Canadian sellers to our domestic market. Work with Federal/Provincial level governments in the push to build a strong presence here in Canada.

  2. Add other calculated shipping options than Canada Post UPS/FedEx for domestic shipping - partner with couriers nationwide, leverage agreements and software integrations with courier reseller platforms such as Stallion Express. Build out a crowd sourced network using national/regional retail locations as drop points for rural regions, leveraging transport networks to move packages to courier pickup points, akin to the UK courier model but adapted to the Canadian realities.

  3. Create a centralized international shipping clearing house to aide micro businesses with affordable shipping rates and customs clearance to avoid pitfalls and complexities (akin to US eIS).

  4. Bring features forward to the platform from other localizations, such as prepaid best offer acceptance, etc.
