eBay users are reporting a technical problem in the Android app experience causing listings to be missing pictures, descriptions, and the all important buy button.

Item description not showing
The eBay app is not showing item descriptions while searching for items or my item purchases description. It just shows a spinning circle. Just started doing this today. I’ve cleared cookies, history, and restarted phone twice. Anyone else with this issue? Know how to fix? Thanks in advance!

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the eBay app to my Lenovo Android Tablet but still not working. My Apple phone eBay app still working fine though any suggestions or is this a glitch that you’re working on??? This problem has only been the last three days.... what’s changed????

The problem appears to be wide-reaching with users in the UK impacted as well - for example this UK user tagged @askeBay on X with a video clearing showing the issue.

Unfortunately, the eBay rep simply direct the user to send a direct message and there does not appear to be any public acknowledgement or updates about when the issue will be fixed posted in the community forums or eBay's system status page.

Most of the reports I've seen so far indicate the issue is likely only impacting the Android app at this time, so affected users should try the mobile web browser or desktop browser experience as a workaround - but unfortunately many buyers may simply abandon their shopping efforts when they encounter glitches like this.

I need daily.
I have limited computer skills to sort this out!
Please help me!

I may have to dump chrome?

I am in Canada. 90% of my goods are made in China. And then to have the other 10% tariffed will kill my business. 90% of my sales are to the US. Buyers will not be willing to pay an extra 54% as in the case with China goods. And I am not selling items from Temu and Shein. I am mostly selling vintage toys. I will have to move all of my items to sell only in Canada and lose all my US customers. I started reselling about 5 years ago and this was supposed to continue into my retirement. Goods that are retired can not be manufactured again. There is no plant that can be opened to make something that was built in the early 2000s. I would be shocked if Mattel would move their plant to the US.

So, ebay is doing an "intentional test" AT THE BUYER'S EXPENSE, with no indication this is happening until a bid is made. Seems like fraudulent behavior to me. What's the recourse for buyers?
