eBay Search Sorting Broken, Users Can't Sort By Newly Listed
Many eBay users are reporting problems with Search sorting options across multiple web browsers and in the eBay mobile app diverting all options to Best Match search and not correctly showing Newly Listed or other selections.
I maintain a daily search, refreshed thoughout the day, for Newly Listed items of a certain vintage manufacturer. Usually this is no big deal. But today I just noticed that the results I'm getting are no longer actually "Newly Listed."
The 1st item was listed 3 weeks ago, the next one 2 weeks ago, the next a week back, the next today, then 4 days ago, etc. Not in any date order at all. I tried refreshing the search, restarting eBay -- no change. So a search for Newly Listed is at the moment completely useless.
Sorting the results by any value is totally broken. Lowest to highest is not working either.
I wanted to know if any of you have encountered Ebay time ending soonest search defaulting to a hodge podge of listings ending in let say two hours coming before an item in one hour and then a listing ending in two days. Seems like best match to me. Anybady know what is going on? How can you buy with that ??
After the new eBay mobile app update, the sort for best match, lowest price, highest price, newly listed, doesn’t work. It defaults to “best match” no matter which option you pick!! Please fix!
