UPDATE 4-21-25

Sellers are once again reporting they are missing email notifications from eBay for sales, messages and more.

Not Receiving Any Email Notifications - Again

Happened few weeks ago, it's happening again

No Email Notifications being sent today for Payout, Sales, or Shipping Receipt

Was just going to start a thread on this, but it looks like I'm not the only one. I'm not getting any notifications either. Had a sale a few hours ago, printed a label, and havent gotten an email regarding either.

It appears to be a global issue as sellers in the UK and Canada also report not receiving notifications today - not only are emails not being received, but it appears the notification bell within Seller Hub is also showing an error message.

No sales emails

Still not recivied confirmation order after purchure three items off ebay thins morning.

I notice the ebay bell on top right side said 'We ran into a problem and can't show your notifications right now.'

FYI Notifications are down, both email and "the bell"...

Whilst working on stuff this morning an hour ago, I noticed my ready to ship count had gone up by two from what it was earlier in the morning, however no email notifiations, nor "red bell" notification. There were two sales to same customer, one from .COM, one from .CA. (Funds were received for the sales)

If I hover my cursor over the "notifications bell" it says "We ran into a problem and can't show your notifications right now.". (Both .COM and .CA)

eBay sellers report they are not receiving email notifications for sales, messages from buyers and more, despite settings not changing and checking their spam folders.

Problems with email notifications appear to have started in the last couple days, with multiple reports in the eBay community forums and across social media.

Since yesterday I have not been receiving "sold" emails, nor am I getting emails when a buyer is sending me a message - not receiving them on my computer nor on my phone.

It started suddenly yesterday when a buyer bought 2 items from me. I received a sold notification for the first one, but not the second. Then this morning I made another sale, but no email notification.

Now a buyer asked me a question but, again, only saw the notification in the app, not in an email. I am still receiving the "your shipping label is ready" emails with no problem. Anybody else having this problem?

In the past day, I haven't had any missed emails regarding my own sales, but have had one shipping label email never show up and an order confirmation for something I bought never show up.

missing emails
Lately when I’ve gone online to work on orders I have found sold items that I never got an email for. T his is a First World Problem and since it’s a sale barely a problem at all. I was just wondering if others experience this.

Lately when I've gone online to work on orders I have found sold items that I never got an email for.

It's happened to me, too, since the day after Christmas. No email sold/ship now emails. But I have a habit of a couple times every day going to my Seller Hub > My eBay > Selling > Orders > Awaiting Shipment. No problem

Sellers should regularly check in Seller Hub for new orders and messages until the issue is resolved and if you find you are not receiving messages, you can report the problem to eBay by clicking the question mark icon in the lower right of the page in the desktop experience or shaking their phone while using the eBay app.

I no longer get messages telling me a buyer has requested an invoice for combined orders.

Inside the messages, when ebay shows earlier messages, the only show the time (sent, received? who knows) but don't show the date, so you can't really track back any messaging.

I didn't think eBay sent my payout due for today. They did, but I received no e-mail, so this issue is effecting those too. I've made 6 sales since the problem started, and only received e-mail confirmations for 2 of them. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to when the e-mail is received and when it isn't, but it seems to be effecting the majority of expected e-mails.

Yes, made a sale and got no email. Bought 2 eBay postage labels but only got an email for the first one - had to go into the app instead to find the second QR code. What is going on?

It is Slowwwwwww and is more expensive to the buyer. In the past items I have ordered will sit at the hub for around 2 weeks. I avoid ebay unless I cannot get it elsewhere.

Hi, I have a friend who had an interesting experience recently that fell under this issue. They sold an item, packed and dispatched to the UK Ebay hub, this was midway through the period as the pause occurred. They then received a message from the buyer that they had checked tracking and discovered that the item had disappeared on ebay, no advice. It then turned out that the tracking had been fudged and the package was with them but not forwarded on to the USA. A few hours of to and fro to get the answer that it was due to the tariff dilemma. NO fault of the buyer(who had paid) or the seller ((who had been paid) and a strange response that the item could not be delivered. The buyer would be refunded in full, the seller would keep payment and the item would not be returned. Strange, Ebay must be hurting paying our both sides of the deal+

  1. Start building out the brand and promoting the heck out of Canadian sellers to our domestic market. Work with Federal/Provincial level governments in the push to build a strong presence here in Canada.

  2. Add other calculated shipping options than Canada Post UPS/FedEx for domestic shipping - partner with couriers nationwide, leverage agreements and software integrations with courier reseller platforms such as Stallion Express. Build out a crowd sourced network using national/regional retail locations as drop points for rural regions, leveraging transport networks to move packages to courier pickup points, akin to the UK courier model but adapted to the Canadian realities.

  3. Create a centralized international shipping clearing house to aide micro businesses with affordable shipping rates and customs clearance to avoid pitfalls and complexities (akin to US eIS).

  4. Bring features forward to the platform from other localizations, such as prepaid best offer acceptance, etc.
