eBay Standard Envelope Expands To Patches, Stickers, Greeting Cards & More!
eBay Standard Envelope service has expanded to include more categories including Patches, Stickers & Decals, Greeting Cards, and Seeds.
eBay standard envelope is eBay Label’s low-cost shipping service for small, lightweight items and we are excited to announce you can now ship more items with this service!
Beginning November 1, 2023, in addition to Trading Cards, Coins & Currency, Stamps and Postcards, the following items are eligible:
- Patches
- Stickers & Decals
- Greeting Cards
- Seeds
eBay standard envelope includes integrated, limited tracking and shipping protection for items weighing up to 3 oz. and a quarter inch thick. Each shipment includes up to $20 of shipment protection on single-item orders, and up to $50 on combined orders – all for about a dollar in shipping costs!
Smart Ship Tip: We recommend using a plain, number 10 envelope. If you need to use a thicker or more rigid envelope to better protect what you’re shipping, check with your local post office to ensure your envelope is flexible enough to meet postal guidelines.
We are continuing to explore additional categories for eBay standard envelope and will provide updates to the community.
While this is good news for sellers, it's not entirely clear exactly which sub-categories sellers should list in to take advantage of the option, as one savvy seller in the eBay community points out some of these items can be and often are listed in multiple categories.
This is excellent news! Can we get a list of specific categories > subcategories kyle@ebay ? Things like patches, stickers/decals, greeting cards can be listed in multiple categories.
We've reached out to eBay directly as well and will update as soon as more specific category/sub-category information is available.
eBay also recently introduced new packaging supplies designed specifically for use with Standard Envelope service and while they are geared more toward shipping trading cards, they could also be useful for other items which qualify for ESE.
