eBay Updates Price Guide & Collection Tool For Trading Card Enthusiasts
eBay is making major updates to Price Guide and Collection beta for first time since it launched in August 2021, providing enthusiasts with more ways to organize their card collections and access new features for the eBay Vault.
Users can now toggle to automate their growing collections, enabling instant updates every time they purchase an eligible item.
They can also now update item categories and request title changes for eligible items in the eBay Vault through the desktop experience.
Update Item Category
If an item in your collection is tracked under the wrong category, you can now update it by clicking the pencil icon from the item level view.
Tap the dropdown list and select a new sport, game or franchise for your card. The eBay market value will update automatically.
You can also request title changes for eligible items in the eBay vault on your desktop.
Being unable to correct or update titles for items in the eBay Vault has been a major roadblock for many users.
Previously there was no way to request these changes and if the information was wrong, the only option was for the card owner to remove the item from the Vault to list for sale directly, incurring withdrawal fee as well as possible shipping and sales tax charges in the process.

It's great that eBay is finally implementing a solution a year and a half after launching the Vault service, but it may be too little too late for users who have already had a negative experience with this issue.
Users can now also archive items in their Collection that they no longer own.
Introducing The Archive
With the archive, you can view and manage the items you no longer own. If you list and sell an item with Collection, we'll archive it automatically for you.You can track transaction details like sale price, sale date, and expenses to see performance over time.
Coincidentally, some users reported today they were having problems with the Price Guide functionality disappearing from the app.
The card price guide feature has disappeared on my eBay app. An eBay rep told me it’s not available on his app either and suggested I post about it here for others with the issue to report it

While eBay has not confirmed what may be causing this issue, it's not uncommon for unintended glitches to occur when new feature and tools are initially released.
