Facebook Marketplace is raising some selling fees effective April 15, 2024, going from 5% or a minimum or $0.40 to 10% or a minimum of $0.80 for items sold on Marketplace with shipping.

Selling fee increase
The selling fee for listings sold with shipping on Marketplace will increase to 10%, or a minimum of $0.80 per listing, effective April 15, 2024.

You can review the estimated payouts for your existing shipped listings now and adjust your pricing ahead of time. The increase will be automatically applied to any shipped listings you have on April 15, 2024.

Keep in mind, these fees apply to individual items listed on Facebook Marketplace and sold with shipping instead of local pickup.

Items for local pickup are not charged this fee and if you are selling items through Facebook or Instagram Shops, you'll still be paying the payment processing fee for transactions processed through onsite checkout but this 10% selling fee does not apply.

Facebook Shops Forces Onsite Checkout & Ends Fee Waiver
Meta to require Shops to use Facebook & Instagram checkout, fee waiver will end June 30, 2023.

5% to 10% is a significant jump in fees for Facebook Marketplace listings that offer shipping, putting Facebook on par with competitors likes eBay and Mercari.
