Poshmark Partners With Loop To Help Turn Return Headaches Into Resale Success
Poshmark and returns platform Loop announce a first-of-its-kind partnership to help consumers turn missed return windows and final sale regrets into resale success by offering a sustainable and financially rewarding alternative to recoup expenses.
Loop helps thousands of the world's most-loved Shopify brands optimize returns, exchanges, and reverse logistics at scale, but previously struggled to offer solutions for items that are past the brand's return window or sold with no returns accepted by the brand.
But thanks to this new partnership, brands can now offer an easy one click options that enables consumers to sell those items on Poshmark, transforming a negative returns experience into a positive one while creating new revenue streams for the merchants.
"At Poshmark, we believe shopping and selling should be simple, social, and sustainable," said Steven Tristan Young, Chief Marketing Officer at Poshmark. "After observing an increase in Poshmark listings mentioning missing the return window, we saw an opportunity to create a sustainable solution. Partnering with a market-leader like Loop allows us to offer resale as an alternative, creating a more convenient experience for both buyers and sellers, putting money back in their wallets, and keeping more items in circulation."
Loop's U.S. merchants interested in enabling this experience for their consumers can do so with a simple click of a button in their Loop account.
Once enabled, consumers who are initiating a return through their returns portal will see a "Resell on Poshmark" button next to any items that are not eligible for return.
One click produces a complete, pre-filled listing on Poshmark with item details β a strong improvement from the previous experience, where the customer simply faced a dead-end.
While the partnership is a first for both companies, it's not clear if it's an exclusive deal, which could leave the door open for Loop to expand the idea beyond fashion and/or to other marketplaces if the idea proves successful.
Given that Mercari has signaled an interest in finding partners for their US marketplace and today's news about eBay partnering with Facebook Marketplace, what marketplaces do you think would be a good fit for Loop's resale solution? Let us know in the comments below!
