Poshmark Rolls Out Search & Discovery Updates Just In Time For Secondhand Sunday
Poshmark is hoping Search and Discovery enhancements will help boost holiday shopping as buyers head into Cyber Weekend with flagship Secondhand Sunday event.
The updates build on testing the site started in September, with the goal to deliver more relevant results and increase the number of shoppers successfully finding what they are looking for on Poshmark.
In September, we announced the start of testing search enhancements—a vital step in our mission to deliver more relevant results and better connect shoppers with sellers on Poshmark.
Since then, your feedback and conversations have been invaluable in helping us refine the search experience.
Your feedback is shaping the future of search, and we’re pleased to share an update on our progress. Our first phase of testing has delivered strong results, with a notable increase in shoppers successfully finding what they’re looking for.
We’re beginning to roll out our first enhancement—an initial step in a series of improvements to come.

- Improved Search Accuracy: By using enhanced keyword and image matching technology, we'll be able to better align listings with your search intent for more relevant results.
- Automatic Spell Correction: Ensures you never miss relevant listings by automatically correcting common spelling errors or typos in your search.
- Reducing Impact of Irrelevant Listing Details: Optimizing how we weigh overly broad or misused keywords in listing descriptions to deliver results that better match your specific search intent.
Hopefully those enhancements will provide a positive user experience and drive buyers to the items they're looking for as the site is also gearing up to celebrate their third annual Secondhand Sunday, a holiday Poshmark proclaimed in 2022 dedicated to supporting secondhand sellers, circular fashion, and the planet.
This year SecondHand Sunday will be on December 1st and Poshmark will be using the occasion to push their Posh Shows live shopping features but offering free shipping on items purchased from Shows from 2 - 4 PM Pacific.
But the perks aren't just for buyers - Poshmark is also running a special Listing Streak promotion for sellers on November 27th with each listing created counting as one entry for a chance to win $500.
But as always - make sure you read those terms and conditions carefully, including the fact that prize amount is awarded as Posh Credit, not cash.

72 general winners will each receive $50 (in local currency) in Poshmark store credit and 1 grand prize winner will receive $500 in Poshmark store credit (in local currency), with an aggregate retail value of $4,100.
